I’ll always remember the taste of the chicken stew my grandma used to make. Slowly on low heat, with a lot of patience and love. I don’t know what the secret was but it was delicious.

My mom tried to make chicken stew but it wasn't as good as the one grandma made. She tried really hard but it just wasn't the same. And obviously we always wanted to eat the one from grandma not hers. Check out my grandmas recipe!
Ingredients:
- chicken drumsticks - six pieces
- red bell pepper - one piece
- garlic - six cloves (to taste)
- onion - one piece
- bay leaves - six pieces
- rosemary - one teaspoon
- fresh parsley - a few leaves
- flour - one tablespoon
- cooking oil - 50 ml
- canned tomatoes - 400 grams
- chicken broth - 500 ml
- salt - a pinch
- pepper - to taste
Instructions:
- Finely chop the onion. Slice the garlic and cut the capsicum into cubes.

- Heat the chicken broth and keep it in a warm place.
- In a pan fry the drumsticks. You can use boneless drumsticks or chicken breast.
- I a large sauce pan add the oil that remained from the chicken and saute the onion. After it softened a bit add the capsicum.

- The next step is to add the flour and let if fry a little until it absorbs the fat. Then add a ladle of chicken broth.

- Add the bay leaves and let them spread the flavor. Let it on low heat so that the veggies boil slowly.

- Next add the tomato puree, chicken drumsticks. Season it with salt, pepper, rosemary and slices of garlic.

- Let it on the stove to decrease.
- Serve it warm and sprinkle fresh parsley on top. In matters of side dish i recommend potatoes or polenta.
