I decided to make Home made Chicken Liver Pate. I enjoy pate on a fresh slice of bread with fresh tomatoes and cheese. But i think that the canned pate, that is on the grocery shops shelves, is horrible. It is tasteless, full of additives and unhealthy preservatives.
If your kids like pate i advise you to make some at home for them. It is very easy to do.

If you will make this recipe you'll notice that the pate you made has an intense taste of ... chicken liver. You will see it is totally different than the one bought. It is super easy to do and, with a little imagination, you can make a very interesting starter.
Ingredients:
- chicken liver - 500 grams
- carrot - one piece
- onion - one small piece
- eggs - two pieces
- rosemary - a green spring
- butter - 100 grams
- bay leaves - a few leaves
- peppercorns - a few
- olive oil - 30 grams
- salt - to taste
- ground pepper - to taste
Instructions:
- Carefully wash the liver. Put it to boil (without salt) along with onion, carrot, peppercorns, rosemary and bay leaves. Remember to remove the foam from time to time.
- In a separate pot hard boil the eggs.

- After the liver boiled i strain it and put it in a bowl. I peeled the eggs and cut them in half. I put the egg yolks over the liver and kept the whites.

- I added over the liver the olive oil, melted butter, salt and pepper. I used a blender to smooth everything together.

- For serving i filled the egg whites with pate and sprinkled some fresh parsley.
